Theater Calgary debut’s Shakespeare’s King Lear

Theater of Calgary begins the famous Shakespeare play King Lear today.
The play is filled with betrayal, heartbreak, madness and of course bloodshed.
The cast features actor Benedict Campbell who plays King Lear and he says it has always been a lifetime goal of his.
“It’s a part I’ve always wanted to play, I mean I’m fairly young still for it but I’m very glad to be here and playing it, It’s one of the great challenges of English literature really.”
The play runs Tuesday through Sunday and will continue until April 12th for tickets go to www.theatrecalgary.com.
