The Spirit of Giving in support of The Mustard Seed is back for another holiday season. Your donations support thousands of Calgarians experiencing poverty and homelessness every year. Help us help those in need.

There is a vital need for the basic items listed below:

  • Winter Gloves/Mitts
  • Men’s Briefs (new only please)
  • Men’s Deodorant
  • Nail Clippers
  • Disposable Razors

We have tons of donation locations across the city! Just look for a Spirit of Giving box at any one of our amazing sponsors listed below. Click here for a list of printable donation locations! We are collecting items until December 20th!

Can’t drop off donations? Don’t worry! You can also make monetary donations by texting the word SPIRIT to 2-0-2-2-2.

“Sleigh bells ring, are you listening?” The Tenors are coming to town! The multi-platinum selling, JUNO Award-winning band today announced their annual North American holiday tour “Wonder of Christmas.”

Kicking off in Seattle, WA on November 29, The Tenors will celebrate the holiday season with fans in 13 cities across Canada and the U.S., including a stop in Calgary on December 5! The Tenors will perform a selection of songs from their two Christmas albums, along with other festive favourites!

Women for Men’s Health announces the return of The Big Ball, the third annual fundraising gala takes place on January 31, 2020. Along with launching the biggest party of 2020, this powerful initiative acts to engage women to increase awareness in areas impacting men, including mental health. Last year the event raised over $70,000, with all funds directly supporting men’s mental health issues at the Prostate Cancer Centre.

On Friday, January 31, 2020, Women for Men’s Health shines a light on the issue of men’s mental health and invites Calgarians to spend a glamorous evening raising funds for the men’s health initiatives at the Prostate Cancer Centre. This year’s event will include a new poolside arrival experience, multi-tiered entertainment and an epic afterparty.

About Women for Men’s Health 

Women for Men’s Health is an initiative that acts to engage women to help increase awareness in areas impacting men’s health, including sexual health, cardiovascular health, male-specific cancers and mental health. Calgary Radiologist Dr. Shelley Spaner is the founder of Women for Men’s health and has started the initiative to engage women as active players in closing the gender gap when it comes to health and wellness.
