CPS on the hunt for man wanted for sexual assault

CALGARY — Calgary police are investigating a sexual assault that happened in Calgary’s northeast in August, and need help identifying the suspect.

On Tuesday, Aug. 17, around 9 p.m., a young girl was waiting at a bus stop along Country Village Link when she was approached by a man.

Police say the man sat beside her at the stop and began to grope her. He then followed her onto the bus and continued to sexually assault the young girl, at which point the driver of the bus noticed something was wrong.

The driver stepped in and managed to kick the suspect off of the bus, who then left the area on a bicycle going south.

The man is wanted by police and is described as being 5’10’’ to 5’11” tall, roughly 35 years old, with a medium, muscular build, and a noticeable scar or scab above his left eyebrow

He was last seen wearing a collared long sleeve shirt, and had black hair that was cut short on both sides, longer on top, and made a V formation at the back of his head.
