‘A coordinated attack’: Mayoral candidate Jeff Davison has campaign signs, office vandalized

CALGARY — Another candidate in the upcoming municipal election has had their campaign signs vandalized in Calgary, this time the target is Ward 6 Councillor Jeff Davison.

Davison took to Twitter on Friday, showing one of his campaign signs and office window had blue paint smeared across his face and eyes.

The city councillor believes, due to similarities in the vandalism, that it was a coordinated attack.

“This comes right after I voted to protect Calgarians’ health and the economy—a vote that only Farkas opposed. Calgarians won’t be intimidated by this,” Davison said on Twitter.

Last month, a campaign sign belonging to Ward 5 candidate Aryan Sadat was vandalized at the corner of Falconridge Blvd. and Taradale Dr.

In an interview with 660 NEWS, Sadat said that he was aware of another candidate’s sign that had been vandalized.

“I don’t believe that’s a majority, I think it’s just odd people that need to be educated and we need to help them move forward with our Canadian values,” Sadat said. “We should work together and stand tall against any such misbehaviour or racist activity by any individuals.”
