Suspects tie up pharmacist, customers in SE Calgary robbery

CALGARY – Calgary police are hoping someone might recognize two unidentified men believed to be responsible for robbing a pharmacy in the city’s southeast.

Officers say around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the pair went into a pharmacy on 61 Street near 17 Avenue and forced three customers into a patient consultation room.

They tied up the three customers and the pharmacist on shift and raided the pharmacy counter.

They took cash, Cotridin, and Oxycocet before taking off.

After they left, one of the customers was able to break free and call 911. The victims suffered minor injuries.

Investigators are trying to locate the suspects, both between the ages of 18 and 22 with skinny builds. They were wearing all black clothing, black jackets, baseball hats, and backpacks.

Police are looking through CCTV footage, but no photos have been released yet.
