RCMP looking to return stolen property to rightful owners

CHESTERMERE – Mounties east of Calgary are hoping to track down the owners of stolen property they recently recovered.

Chestermere RCMP says several items were recently seized as a result of a shoplifting investigation and offices believe a good chunk of the items were likely stolen in or around Calgary.

Police believe the stolen items were taken between June 30 and July 3.

Two Calgary men were charged in the case, a 28-year-old and a 27-year old. They were charged with shoplifting, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and possession of stolen property over $5,000.

The two men were allegedly in possession of a stolen truck with stolen plates as well.

If any of the items seen in the gallery below belong to you, you are asked to call RCMP.

The two men charged are expected to appear in court on Sept. 24 and Oct. 1.
