Calgary’s The Military Museums to commemorate 9/11 attacks

CALGARY — Calgary’s The Military Museums will be commemorating the 20th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on Saturday.

The event will be held beginning at 11 a.m. outside of the Museum’s World Trade Center artifact.

There is limited registration to attend the event in-person, and a live stream will be available to anyone who wants to take part virtually.

The ceremony will include speeches from US Consul General, Holly Waeger Monster, and Calgary Fire Chief, Steve Dongworth.

Following the ceremony, there will be a panel discussion of “9/11 20 Years On” featuring Dr. David Bercuson, Major (Ret’d) Alex Watson, Afghan citizen Mr. Kawa Aahangar, and President and CEO of Calgary Centre for Newcomers, Ms. Anila Lee Yuen.
