Calgary man, 18, charged in deadly stabbing downtown

CALGARY – Calgary police have charged a suspect after a man was stabbed to death at a downtown apartment earlier this week.

On Tuesday night, Officers were called to 5 Avenue and 6 Street S.W. for reports that two men had gotten into a fight at an apartment there.

The victim, now identified as 19-year-old Antonio Wallace-Murillo, was rushed to hospital in life-threatening conditions.

He succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the following day that they had taken three people into custody, two of which were released a short time later.

Now, an 18-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter.

He’s scheduled to appear in court Friday.
