ICU admissions surpass 100, positivity rate nears record high

CALGARY — Alberta reported 920 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday on nearly 7,500 tests.
The positivity rate over the last day was roughly 12.3 per cent.
There are now 11,660 active cases of COVID-19 in Alberta — an increase of 234 from Monday’s update.

Of active cases in the province, Edmonton leads the way with 2,542 active infections, while Calgary has 2,417.
Over the last 24 hours, 30 more people have checked into Alberta hospitals with COVID-19, for an active total of 431.
There are now 106 people in the ICU — an increase of eight since Monday.
Four additional deaths were reported on Tuesday.
