Where to find your proof of vaccination before you travel to B.C.

With the list of places implementing vaccine passports growing, learn how Albertans can view their proof of vaccinations on their phone.

EDMONTON – If you’re heading to B.C. next month, you’ll likely have to show proof of vaccination if you’re going into a bar or restaurant.

It will be a requirement for all non-essential businesses in that province.

According to B.C. Health, Canadian visitors can show proof of a shot provided by their own province.

For Albertans, that can be found through the My Health Account portal on the Alberta Health website.

The process has multiple steps and takes days to complete.

After Albertans provide their personal information on the website, a physical piece of mail will be sent to them within 10 days with an activation code.

People can then create their “MyHealth Records” account, where the proof of vaccination can be found.
