Chestermere RCMP respond to possible drowning

CALGARY – Rescue crews are searching Chestermere Lake following a possible drowning Monday afternoon.

Chestermere RCMP were called to Anniversary Beach around 3 p.m. after receiving calls about two men who fell into the water and struggled to make it back to shore.

Police say the two men were out on a paddleboard when they fell into the lake.

Nearby swimmers were able to rescue one man where he was taken to Foothills Hospital in stable non-life threatening condition.

The other man has not been seen since.

The identity of the individual has not been released.
