CALGARY – Calgary teens looking to get vaccinated against COVID-19 will be able to do so without an appointment this week at one of two drop-in clinics.

Alberta Health Services says it will be opening up drop-in vaccine clinics at the Telus Convention Centre and the Genesis Centre from Wednesday to Monday.

The clinics will be open each day from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

AHS says there will be 1,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine-–the only one approved for use in kids aged 12-17–-available at the Telus Convention Centre and 500 available at the Genesis Centre.

Kids lining up to get their shot will need parental consent.

If a parent or guardian won’t be in attendance at the time of the shot, kids will have to provide a filled-out copy of the AHS consent form.
