CALGARY (660 NEWS) — The Calgary Stampede is offering free admission to park goers on Sunday.

It’s part of the Stampede’s way of celebrating community spirit and the return of summer. It’s also a “thank you” to Calgarians for being part of the first major spectator event in Canada since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

The park will be open at 10 a.m. and will offer free admission until midnight.

Sunday is the last day of the 2021 Calgary Stampede. There will be rodeos, rides, food and live concerts.

This year’s Stampede ran at about half capacity in an effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
