Police search for driver who may have vital info about hit and run

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – As the investigation progresses into the hit and run of a pedestrian on Sunday, officers have reviewed CCTV footage from the area and are asking to speak with the drivers of several vehicles that passed the scene immediately after the collision.

In particular, police are looking to speak with the driver of a silver or white, four-door sedan, as they may have vital information that will help in the investigation.

This comes after investigators found the alleged driver who perpetrated the hit-and-run and the involved car.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, police responded to 12 Street and Memorial Drive NE near the zoo for reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle.

CPS says a man in his 30s was transported to Foothills Hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police say the driver who struck the pedestrian did not remain on the scene.

The victim remains in hospital in serious condition.
