CALGARY – Alberta Parks has closed the Rawson Lake trail and basin, including Sarrail Ridge, in K-country due to bear activity in the area.

The routes will remain closed until further notice after a female grizzly and cub were spotted frequenting the area.

This is the newest of bear warnings in the Kananaskis region.

Back-country users are encouraged to remain bear-smart and check the Alberta parks website for advisories before heading out.
