Young girl rushed to hospital after being rescued from Lake Mahogany

CALGARY — An 11-year-old girl has been rushed to Alberta Children’s Hospital in critical life-threatening condition, after being rescued from Lake Mahogany in Calgary’s southeast on Monday.
EMS says emergency crews were called to the lake after people reported a girl going into the water and not re-surfacing.

The Calgary Fire Department’s dive team was brought in and managed to locate the girl.
The girl was brought to a floating dock where paramedics performed life-saving measures on her, managing to revive her before she was flown to hospital by STARS.
