Calgary in for scorching heatwave next week

CALGARY – Grab your sunscreen and water bottle because Calgary is about to get hit with a heatwave next week.

According to Environment Canada, temperatures are looking like they are going to be somewhere in the mid-30s.

That’s hot, but not as hot as parts of British Columbia will be.

Places like Kamloops in B.C.’s interior are facing temperatures into the low-40s.

Monday is calling for a high of 33, Tuesday 35, and Wednesday it will climb to 36 degrees.

As of yet, there’s no heat warning in effect, but one could still be issued over the weekend or early next week.
