CALGARY – Calgary Pride has lined up a variety of events, both in-person and online, for this year’s annual celebration.
The organization says this year’s installment, titled B!G Pride, with have a festival running from Aug. 27 to Sept. 6.
The parade, which normally draws massive crowds downtown, will be a virtual event this year.
A drive-in will also be set up as a part of the celebration, with a movie night, theatre night, music night, and an adults-only Le Cirque de la Nuit viewing planned for the week of Sept. 1.
The drive-in will also show the virtual parade in the afternoon and evening of Sept. 5.
In the weeks leading up to the festival, Calgary Pride will have a podcast featuring members of the local LGBTQ+ community.
And for the course of August, Pride will be facilitating fundraising opportunities for people in the community to become more connected and supported.
