VAN NUYS, Calif. (AP) _ Capstone Green Energy Corporation (CGRN) on Thursday reported a loss of $4.8 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.
The Van Nuys, California-based company said it had a loss of 39 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 27 cents per share.
The maker of turbine systems for energy generation posted revenue of $17.9 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $18.4 million, or $1.63 per share. Revenue was reported as $67.6 million.
Capstone Green shares have decreased 28% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.67, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
