CALGARY – A man wanted in connection to a random attack on a father and son has turned himself in to police.
Back on May 14, a 47-year-old man and his 18-year-old son were walking along Barclay Walk SW when they came across a group of people “causing a disturbance” on the pathway.
According to police, a brief conversation ensued with the group, and the father and son duo were attacked.
Officers said one of the people in the group punched the 18-year-old repeatedly in the face and locked him to the ground.
The father then tried to snap a photo of the suspect but was attacked by the other three people in the group. Both victims were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The suspect turned himself in to police last week. The 27-year-old was later released from custody and has a court date set for July 12.
