Alberta reports 231 new COVID-19 cases as ICU admissions drop below 100

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Alberta’s new COVID-19 cases are down again following the latest update from Alberta Health Services.

The province added 231 new cases and the total number of active cases dropped to 4,884 — including 1,997 in Calgary and 1,315 in Edmonton.

There are 360 patients hospitalized, with 98 of them in intensive care. It’s the first time there are fewer than 100 Albertans in the ICU since April 16.

A total 42,745 new vaccines doses were administered in the province.
