No injuries reported after plane crash near Springbank Airport

A man and two children were reported safe and without injury after their plane crashed near Springbank Airport early Sunday evening.

CALGARY (CityNews) — Tense moments near the Springbank Airport early Sunday evening, as an attempted landing took a turn for the worse.

Cochrane RCMP say that a Cessna 210 plane was heading back to the airport and attempting to land when it crashed onto the Mickelson National Golf Club, which RCMP referred to as the Harmony Golf Course in a statement released Sunday night.

The adult male pilot along with two children aboard were all accounted for, and no injuries were reported.

RCMP say that there was minor damage to the plane and that the Transportation Safety Board will be investigating the matter further.
