One home destroyed, two others damaged in Skyview Ranch fire

CALGARY — A house fire in northeast Calgary has left one home gutted, and another two damaged.

The fire sparked in Skyview Ranch, along Skyview Springs Crescent, around 1 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, forcing three families to evacuate from their homes.

“Crews immediately started a search of the main structure and then worked on extinguishing the fire and protecting the two exposures on both left and right of the source home,” said Battalion Chief Alistair Robin. “Unfortunately, the fire did breach into those two homes.”
