There are 21, 828 active cases throughout the province.
In a series of tweets, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw says St. Albert has reached the threshold for additional targeted restrictions.
She adds Albertans in hot spot regions are encouraged to learn about and follow the new measures to help drive community cases down.
Numbers continue to rise province-wide and Hinshaw says no matter where we live, we each have to do our part to follow all public health measures and reduce in-person interactions.
Hinshaw will be back to her regular updates next week.
