CANMORE (660 NEWS) – Some popular hiking trails in Alberta will soon be closed for the season.

Alberta Parks says all access to Mt. Yamnuska will be closed for upgrades starting May 21 and lasting until November.

Work will be done to improve the existing trails while decommissioning old ones, and creating new trails.

Alberta Parks said many hikers found themselves lost on the trails which prompted the revamping.
