Calgary fire crews douse house fire in NW

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Calgary fire crews spent part of Wednesday night fighting a house fire in the city’s northwest.

Shortly after 8 p.m. crews received calls for the house fire along Nipawin Cr NW, just east of 14 St.

Upon arrival, smoke and fire could be seen coming from a single-story, single-family home.

The fire was extinguished and all three people who were in the home managed to get out safely.

It’s believed the family will be displaced from the home for the foreseeable future.

Calgary Fire Department crew members were on scene through the night ensuring no further spread of fire.
