Truck driver sought as witness in murder case from last month

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck who may have seen something relating to a recent murder.

On Feb. 19, Daniel Dudgeon, 32, was killed outside the Mazaj Lounge and Restaurant along Macleod Trail S.W. just after 11:00 p.m.

Surveillance footage showed Dudgeon getting out of a black Ram pickup truck around 9:00 p.m., before his death.

Police said the driver is not in trouble, and just need to ask questions about the victim.

Investigators added they are starting to piece together what happened that night and hope to have some answers soon.

“The driver of this truck has information that will help us fill in some gaps and we are hoping that either they will come forward or someone else will let us know who was driving,” said Staff Sgt. Colin Chisholm.

If you have information regarding this murder or the identity of the pickup truck driver, you’re asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
