Police charge man in December hit-and-run

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Police have charged a man after two people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run collision nearly three months ago.

Back on Dec. 13, 2020, officers found the two pedestrians, a man and woman, along 37 St. and 13 Ave. S.W after they were struck by a vehicle.

The man remains in hospital in serious, stable condition while the woman is continuing her recovery at home.

The driver of the vehicle, a dark-coloured sedan, fled the scene prompting a plea for information from police.

Police have since found the sedan and on Thursday, announced a 28-year-old man was charged with hit-and-run causing bodily harm and careless driving.

More charges are possible as police continue to investigate.
