Alberta reports 284 new cases of COVID-19, five more deaths

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Dr. Deena Hinshaw is reporting 284 more Albertans have tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
Another five people have lost their lives due to the virus.
In a series of tweets, the province’s chief medical officer of health said a total 7,972 tests were completed over the 24-hour period. That puts Alberta’s positivity rate at 3.7 per cent – down 0.1 per cent from the day before.

There are currently 5,215 active cases in the province, with 351 of those in hospital and 60 in the ICU – both decreases.
