FORT MCMURRAY (660 NEWS) – The recent consolidation of EMS dispatch in the Wood Buffalo region has been heavily criticized by local officials.
Now, Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo Council has decided to take a stand.
At Tuesday’s regular meeting, Mayor Don Scott introduced a motion asking the municipality to “provide notice to Alberta Health Services that the RMWB 911 Emergency Communications Centre will no longer transfer the 911 calls to the AHS Provincial Dispatch Centre.”
