CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A former city councillor who came in third in the 2017 mayoral election is running again, but this time for council.
Andre Chabot has taken to Twitter to say he’s running in Ward 10, the same ward he used to represent when he was a councillor from 2005 to 2017.
Extremely honoured to be nominated for Councillor of Ward 10 by many residents of Ward 10 today including former Councillor Ray Jones and his wife Wendy as well as former Councillor Jim Stevenson and his wife Diane.

Chabot says among those signing his nomination papers was the former ward 10 councillor Ray Jones and Jim Stevenson, who was on city council from 2007 to 2017.
Candidates could officially file nomination papers on Monday, with a deadline in mid-September.
The 2021 municipal election is set for Oct. 18.
