RED DEER (660 NEWS) – The organizer of a pro-Trump rally in Red Deer on Wednesday has been charged by police.

RCMP say they were called around noon to a downtown intersection where around 30 people had gathered to protest the U.S. election results.

They were waving Trump flags, one carrying a sign that read “volunteers for American liberty.”

Police say the gathering violated the current public health guidelines and charged the organizer under the public-health act.

There was a similar small rally outside Calgary City Hall and in other Canadian cities.
