Alberta confirms 5,107 new cases of COVID-19, 96 additional deaths over past five days

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – Alberta has released the latest COVID-19 numbers from Dec. 30 to Jan. 3.
On Dec. 30, there were 1,226 cases confirmed, 1,361 were confirmed on Dec. 31, 933 on Jan. 1, 459 on Jan. 2, and 1,128 on Jan. 3.
In total, 5,107 new cases of COVID-19 were found within the time period.

– 459 cases on Jan. 2
– 933 cases on Jan. 1
– 1,361 cases on Dec. 31
– 1,226 cases on Dec. 30– 1,142 total Deaths

There were 96 additional deaths attributed to the virus, bringing Alberta’s total to 1,142.
There are currently 13,839 active cases of COVID-19 within the province, 905 of which are in hospital and 136 in ICU.
