One person dead in stabbing in Panorama Hills

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Police are investigating a deadly stabbing in the community of Panorama Hills.

Police were called to a home on Panatella Court NW just before 11:00 a.m. Wednesday.

One man died at the scene.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived, and no description has been passed along by police. However, they believe the attack was targeted and the victim knew the suspect.

“It is still extremely early in the investigation,” said Staff Sergeant Martin Schiavetta of the Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit. “Our detectives are working very quickly to locate a potential suspect and we are asking anyone who has information to come forward.”

Detectives are also speaking to with witnesses and other people in the area.

An autopsy will be performed on Thursday.
