Fire crews respond to house fire in Chinook Park

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The Calgary Fire Department was called out to a blaze on Tuesday night in the city’s southwest.

Fire crews responding to a 911 call at around 8:30 p.m. for a house fire in the 1100 block of 73 Avenue SW.

Once on scene, crews were met with smoke and flames coming from a two-story residence.

The fire was contained to just the single home.

Two people were able to get out of the house before the fire department arrived.

Crews remain on scene looking for hot spots.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
