Eleven additional COVID-19 deaths in Alberta, 1,341 new cases

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – Daily COVID-19 cases in Alberta saw a decrease from the previous day, as 1,341 new infections were reported on Tuesday.
Active cases increased to 20,649 throughout the province with a majority in the Edmonton zone. The capital has 9,946 active cases while the Calgary zone has 7,331.

In the last 24 hours, 16,353 tests were completed with the province’s positivity rate sitting at 8.2 per cent.
Eleven additional deaths are being reported, bringing the death toll in Alberta to 744.
Hospitalizations continue to rise as well with 742 people presently admitted. One hundred and thirty-seven Albertans are currently in the ICU.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 61,934 people have recovered from COVID-19.
