Elderly man struck by car in Co-op parking lot in Calgary’s southwest

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – An elderly man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Oakridge Co-op on Southland Drive in Calgary’s southwest.

Stuart Brideaux with EMS says they are still investigating what happened.

“Our EMS crews have since transported an elderly male in serious, potentially life-threatening condition as a result of this collision. Police and EMS remain on scene as they assess the driver involved as well as initiate their investigation.”

It’s not clear why the driver is being assessed by paramedics at this time.
