City responds to newly announced COVID-19 restrictions

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – The City of Calgary is praising the new restrictions put out by the province on Tuesday.
The city says they will continue to work with the province and enforce public health guidelines at the municipal level and will adapt their services to reflect the changes.
Mayor Naheed Nenshi says the better we control the virus now, the easier it will be to get back to normal.
“I recognize that additional restrictions, especially at this time of year, carry a significant economic, mental, and social burden for Calgarians,” Nenshi said in a statement.
As the changes happen, the city says they will have all the information available on their website.
