Two men charged after drug lab discovered in Delacour

DELACOUR (660 NEWS) – RCMP have released more details on a major investigation northeast of Calgary.

Last Monday, emergency crews from Airdrie and Rocky View County were called to a home in the hamlet of Delacour because of thick black smoke coming from the property.

Police said they discovered a synthetic drug lab at the home and called in drug analysts from Health Canada.

The analysts were on scene for three days and they’re still trying to confirm exactly what the substances are, although some of them were toxic.

RCMP have charged two men, one from Delacour, the other from Abbotsford face numerous charges relating to drug possession, production and trafficking.

Investigators are asking anyone familiar with the property in Delacour to contact the Airdrie RCMP Crime Reduction Unit or Crime Stoppers.
