Police looking for driver of Jeep involved in pedestrian hit-and-run

CALGARY – Investigators with the Calgary Police Service (CPS) are hoping someone will be able to help them identify the driver who was involved in the hit-and-run of a pedestrian.

Police say there was a confrontation between several people at the Shell gas station at the north end of Chinook Mall around 2:40 a.m. on Nov. 2.

Four of the people got into a silver Jeep Compass and one person walked away. The driver of the Jeep drove off, but circled back and apparently drove toward the victim, hitting them before taking off on southbound Macleod Trail.

The victim was taken to hospital in stable condition.

CPS is looking to speak to everyone who was in the Jeep that night, including the driver. Police have shared CCTV footage from the gas station to help identify those involved.
