Three men charged with drug and firearm related charges

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Calgary police have recovered drugs, money and loaded handguns from a vehicle that was driving dangerously and then later abandoned.

This has resulted in three men being charged with over 20 drug and weapon-related charges.

Million Haile, 20, John Ochelo, 25, and Emmi Lado, 20 face a combined total of 22 firearms and drug-related charges.

Police say at around 11:50 p.m. on Nov. 17, a black 2006 Infiniti FX was going northbound on 10 Street just before 16 Avenue northwest. The vehicle crossed the southbound lanes and then veered off the road, striking a concrete pillar.

The trio got out of the vehicle and a witness saw them taking the items out of the car before heading on foot towards the SAIT campus.

The witness called officers and when they arrived on scene, they found a rifle case in plain view.

The three men were found later near 12 Street northwest and 16 Ave northwest and were taken into custody.

After police searched the car they found, two loaded handguns, Xanax pills valued at $1,425, $985 in cash and Fentanyl pills valued at over $18,025.
