Young boy dies following house fire west of Edmonton

ACHESON, Alta. – The RCMP said they are investigating after a young boy died following a house fire Sunday evening in Acheson, just west of Edmonton.
Parkland Mounties said they, along with local fire and emergency personnel, were called to the scene around 6:00 p.m.
They said that after the fire was extinguished, a three-year-old boy was found during a search of the residence.
They said EMS provided first aid but the child died at the scene.
Police said all other occupants of the home were accounted for and that none were injured.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, and police said no further information will be provided at this time as they continue their investigation.
