Police look for box containing ashes stolen during break-in

A family and police are asking for help after a wooden box containing ashes was stolen during a break-in in northwest Calgary.
Nobody was home when a man broke into a home on Hawkland Circle in the early hours of Oct. 26, and took a number items including an handmade oak box containing the ashes of the homeowner’s late husband.
Officers looked at security camera footage but have been unable to identify a suspect.
The man is described as having a slim build, and was wearing a beige backward ball cap, medical mask, yellow shirt, black jacket and beige pants.
It’s believed he may have been in the area prior to the break-in in a black compact car.
