Snowfall warning ended for Calgary

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for the city of Calgary Friday evening and cleared the warning early Saturday morning.

About 10 to 20 cm of snow is expected to fall overnight and then should taper off late Saturday afternoon with periods of light snow.

Roads across Calgary are experiencing winter-driving conditions Saturday morning with snow-covered and icy streets.

High amounts of snow are expected to come down in the southwestern foothills area.

Okotoks, High River, and Claresholm were also included in the warning.

In the Lethbridge area, the highest amounts of snowfall will be near the U.S border.

Environment Canada says to be prepared and adjust to the changing road conditions as the snow could make travel difficult in some locations.
