Four COVID-19 deaths, cases rise by 432 in Alberta Friday

EDMONTON (660 NEWS) – Four more Albertans have died from COVID-19 related complications in the province.
The latest deaths involve a man in his 40s from the Calgary zone, a man in his 80s from the Edmonton zone, not in a continuing care facility, and a man in his 90s who was linked to the outbreak at the Edmonton General Care Centre.
The fourth death involves a woman in her 80s linked to the outbreak at the Misericordia Community Hospital in Edmonton.

The total number of deaths now sits at 300.
This comes as 432 new cases of the virus are being reported.
There are 1,307 active cases in the Calgary zone, while the Edmonton zone has 1,751.
112 people are in hospital with 14 in the ICU.
More than twenty thousand Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.
Friday is the third day in a row Alberta has reported over 400 new cases of COVID-19.
