CALGARY (660 NEWS) — One person has been taken to hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in a home in the community of Rosscarrock.
At around 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon, Calgary fire crews responded to a house fire near 38 Street and 13 Avenue S.W.
The lone occupant of the house was able to get out of the building before firefighters arrived.
Crews located the fire in the basement where they were able to extinguish it.
The house suffered extensive smoke damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
