CYPRESS COUNTY (660 NEWS) – Redcliff RCMP found a rather sleepy suspect after responding to a call of a break and enter in Cypress County.

Mounties say they arrested a 36-year-old Medicine Hat man on Sunday who had broken into a home and promptly fell asleep.

Police also obtained a search warrant after his arrest, and they discovered a stolen ATM loaded with cash.

He has been charged with breaking and entering into a residence, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and one count of possession of break-in instruments.

Police are still trying to track down where the cash machine was stolen from.
