Elderly man dies from hit-and-run in Falconridge

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A Calgary senior has died after a hit-and-run late last month and police are looking for information on a suspect.
On Sept. 24, a man stole a car in Falconridge belonging to a Skip the Dishes driver. The driver had gone into a nearby restaurant to pick up an order.
When the owner of the car saw what was happening he jumped on it and tried to stop the suspect but was flung to the ground and sustained minor injuries.

The suspect then sped off toward Falconridge Drive and Falsbridge Drive where he struck a 71-year-old man in the intersection.
He was rushed to hospital in critical condition and died Tuesday night.
Police later found the vehicle, a 2010 white Honda Civic but still have no details on the driver.
