Third Calgary school under watch status

CALGARY (660 NEWS) — Nelson Mandela High School in the city’s northeast is the latest facility to be upgraded to watch status.

The province identifies a watch when there are five or more COVID-19 cases involving students or staff from the school.

Canyon Meadows School and St. Wilfrid Elementary School are the two other Calgary schools still under watch status.

A total of 13 schools across Alberta, including nine in Edmonton and one in Airdrie, are also reportedly under a watch.

In Calgary, there are outbreaks at 14 schools meaning two or more cases.
