Five people safe after escaping from fire in Falconridge

Five people safely self-evacuated from a fire that sparked on the second story of a duplex in Calgary's northeast Sunday.

CALGARY (CityNews) — Five people are safe after they escaped from a fire in Falconridge.

The Calgary Fire Department said they received the call about the blaze around 4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The fire began on the second level of a duplex located on Falsby Place in the northeast.

After a quick interior attack, firefighters were able to contain the blaze to the room it started in.

No injuries were reported and the cause remains under investigation.
